HOW TO SURVIVE

Explore the dungeon one step at a time. The world moves only when you do. Reach depth 12, claim the Amulet of Yendor, then climb back to the surface.

Arrows / WASD / HJKL: Move and attack.
− / +: Zoom the dungeon view without spending a turn.
Vision: Rooms appear with their walls when entered; corridors unfold as you explore.
Monster sight: Most wander until they spot you; a few hunt from the start.
Center / Space / period: Use stairs, or wait one turn.
B: Drink a potion.
F: Eat stored food.
Food %: Pick it up, then eat it to raise strength.
Weapon ): Stronger weapons deal more damage.
Shield ]: Shields reduce incoming damage.
Armor }: Armor reduces incoming damage.
Equipment: Better gear is equipped automatically.
Chest [: Contains gold — unless it explodes.
Scroll ?: May raise or drain your strength.
Trap ^: Hurts whoever steps on it.
Stairs < >: Step on them to climb or descend.
Amulet ,: Take it home to ascend.

Every floor is new. If you die, the dungeon forgets your name.
